Carla Rêgo

Carla Rêgo is a pediatrician and was responsible, in 1998, for the creation and implementation of the first consultation in the country dedicated to Pediatric Obesity at the Pediatrics Service of Hospital de S. João. Currently, she is a pediatrician at the Center for Children and Adolescents of Hospital Cuf Porto, where she coordinates a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the treatment of pediatric obesity. She is a member of several national and international societies, a member of the Scientific Council of the Platform against Obesity of the Portuguese Health General Directorate. She has a PhD in Pediatrics by the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto and a Master in Sports Medicine by the same institution.
