Bio

PhD in Sociology, Isabel Dias is associated teacher at Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto (Oporto). She is a researcher at Institute of Sociology, and coordinator of the work area "Family, Gender and Ageing". Her research activity has been focus on domestic violence, which is the area of her PhD thesis, but her interest areas are more extensive, related with gender, feminism, parenting, family, LGBTQ, and many others. She is author of many published books and papers about this main areas and has been involved in many nacional and interanational projects.
